TURBINE CONVERSIONS, Ltd announced that ANAC Brazil approved Hatfield hydraulic fire doors

Bill and Nancy Hatfield, the founders of Turbine Conversions, Ltd, became pioneers of single-engine aerial tanker equipment with their Hatfield hydraulic fire doors. The door was designed according to the requirements of SEAT pilots, who needed a reliable system that could meet operational requirements.

The innovation of Hatfield hydraulic fire doors, which received STC SA00961CH in 1998, meets this requirement. Bill & Nancy's early participation in the Single Engine Aerial Tanker Association (Bill as chairman and Nancy as secretary) helped build the foundation of the SEAT program we see in the United States today.

Hatfield Fire Gate became one of the only three fire doors approved by BLM/USFS in the United States, and began to expand TCL to support equipment for the Ag aviation industry. TCL's system has been approved in Canada, Argentina and now Brazil. Twenty years later, TCL fire doors are still reliable equipment for extinguishing fires on both sides of the equator and have now been approved by ANAC Brazil.

"TCL has been committed to bringing their fire door technology to Brazil and is satisfied with the recent ANAC approval. Our fire door will become an important tool to support Brazil’s emerging fire protection program. Approved for use in all models of Air Tractor (402, 502, 602) And 802) make it unique. The innovative vertical opening design of Hatfield Fire Gate has less than 2 seconds full launch, four-level setting, emergency dumping safety function, lightweight design and proven and reliable hydraulic system, making it the industry’s best Leader. All fire doors are manufactured in a PMA FAA-approved factory in Nunica, Michigan, USA. There is also a bypass adapter available so that the aircraft can continue to perform liquid spray applications when the fire door is installed without any additional work. The potential of fire doors can be expanded.

TCL and our partners worked with Brazilian agri-aviation leader Fabiano Zaccarelli and his team at AeroGlobo Aeronaves to bring this product to Brazil with confidence. “We have invested time and resources to prepare the AeroGlobo Aeronaves team to support the new owner of Hatfield Fire Gate through high-quality installations, technical support network and spare parts inventory. Since 2017, we have worked with AeroGlobo Aeronaves and we believe Brazilian owners of TCL equipment will receive the same excellent customer support as our American customers," said Ann Hatfield-Grahek, Director of International Sales. Our partner, AeroGlobo Aeronaves in Botucatu SP, Brazil, can provide high-quality sales, installation and parts support on behalf of TCL." Ann Hatfield-Grahek, "As a company, we are responsible for the durability and Very proud of reliability. There was no reason for downtime when signing the fire contract, and our track record in this field is self-evident. "

"Although there is almost no need for parts support, we know that fires will not stop due to technical issues and we will not tolerate downtime. That's why having this infrastructure is so important," Bill Hatfield, developer of Hatfield Fire Gate and president of TCL Say, "We never want our customers to stop for any reason. Their safety is our top priority."

The first two fire doors are already in Brazil and there will be more shipments soon. We are very happy to cooperate with Aeroterra Aviação Agricola Ltd, a customer of AeroGlobo Aeronaves in Bahia. Aeroterra Aviação Agricola, a pioneer in the single-engine fire protection program, has installed and operated a Hatfield fire door, and the second program will be installed as soon as possible as part of its operations.

TCL is looking forward to attending the Brazilian Aviation Industry Conference 2022 in Sertãozinho – SP again and presenting the Hatfield Fire Door to the participants. For more information, please contact Aeroglobo Aeronaves at +55 14 3814-3450 or Ann Hatfield–Grahek ann@turbineconversions.com
