Hoses and fittings are known as fairly standard items that only require work. Fragola Performance Systems disagrees with this view, so it has developed a series of new hoses designed to provide maximum performance. Race-Rite hoses are solutions for those who wish to transport fluids in the best and most efficient way.

Fragola has developed Race-Rite and Race-Rite Pro Hose to meet the high-end market with automotive pipeline needs. After evaluating what the current hose must provide and what those pushing the edge of performance are looking for, Fragola set out to design something to bridge the gap.

Brint Mclellan of Fragola explains what Race-Rite hoses must provide for those looking for higher performance in piping systems.

"Our Race-Rite hose is lighter, more flexible, and has a larger inner diameter than our other products. It has a conductive PTFE sliding hole lining and is compatible with almost any fluid. It is suitable for most fuels, ATF and The perfect hose for coolant applications. It provides customers with a hose with a larger inner diameter that can flow more and will not deteriorate over time."

For most applications, the standard Race-Rite hose may be more than enough, but some users require a stronger hose. Fragola wanted to ensure that this part was covered, so conceived the Race-Rite Pro hose.

"The Race-Rite Pro hose provides all these same benefits by adding a stainless steel spiral, wound around the complex exterior of the PTFE tube. This increases its hoop strength and allows higher vacuum levels at operating temperatures. It also enables Race -Rite Pro hose is more flexible and not easy to suck in. It can literally be knotted without kinking. This is the ultimate dry oil pan hose solution. I also recommend using it on the inlet side of a large-capacity fuel pump Products," Mclllan explained.

Currently, both Race-Rite and Race-Rite Pro hoses need to be used with Fragola's crimped Race-Rite hose ends. These hose ends have a durable hard-coated finish and a dual-rotation design, so there is no need to worry about the clock direction at the crimping front end. Fragola is developing a tool for reusable threaded connection hose ends, which will soon be used with Race-Rite hoses.
