The service center for a Monroe County car dealership was on fire Monday afternoon, according to dispatchers.
Videos and photos posted on social media showed a thick plume of smoke rising from Gray Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram’s service building at 1875 W. Main St., Stroudsburg. The dealer’s car lot is located nearby on North Ninth Street.
Other photos showed flames engulfing the structure.
Monroe County dispatchers said “lots of units” responded, including the Stroudsburg Fire Department.
The Stroudsburg Fire Department said it had the fire under control, but roads are closed around the scene.
People are asked to stay away from the scene as fire hoses have been run over and many people have been spotted stopping on the road to take pictures, which is impeding the firefighters.
